I liked it. While I found some of the jokes to be similar to Oney's recent work (How to be a Vblogger), I can't count on you knowing it existed either, and wanted to vent your frustration.

I'm guessing other negative reviews were really from your stab at Ray Johnson, a name that strikes into the very heart of originality. It's like making fun of a religion to some people, you're going to take flak for it :)

P.S: Love the jab at stuff ending suddenly. That's got to stop.

Amusing audio, but like the others said, it's way, way overtaxing on computers. My observations:

1. run each image, select all, and 'smooth' it once or twice. You'll reduce the vertex's by 40-50% instantly. Should solve your problem right there.

2. It looks like you used a movieclip, and blurred the background here and there. Never do that. Even if it's a bitmap, it will kill your framerate. My flash's sucked from using that technique, so please ignore any suggestion that I'm coming off high and mighty :)

I might be wrong on how you made this, but it's my observation. Hope this and other people's suggestions help out.

Croire responds:

Thank you for your response! That is exactly what i did. I had no idea that that caused lag :l I'll definitely make sure to not use blur on my bg's for my next flash

Nicely done

I will need to agree with the other reviews, in the fact that the "story" (more like screenplay) was indeed difficult to understand, even after repeated viewings.

Everything lands nicely, but to re-use the shot of him grabbing the toilet paper creates the image of the person "re-attempting" to get his business done, and not use another brand of toilet paper. Perhaps an establishing shot of each brand (him holding brand X first, and after the butt violation, him revealing Cloud Soft) would have clarified this. Just my opinion, but that's what this field is for.

Again, I agree that it needed a little work, but it's still a great flash. Ignore the jerks :)

Good show!

Fantastic animation, and a lovely song. Made my wife happier just watching it.

What the crap man

The episode was fine; you can't expect a masterpiece every time. The artwork is amazing as always, and the style was as sleek as ever. If you were an Ebay buyer, I'd say A++++++++++Plusplusplus (or 8 out of 10)

Keep up the great work guys; ignore the whiners.

...

I'm not sure how to say this, but I've never cried watching a NG submission before. You really hit home there.

It's a bitter shame that this submission is late, it should get best flash of the year.

Excellent

I could tell this was a lot of fun to make. I like the creativity you put in, it makes repeated views necessary.

My only criticism at this point is that your links do not work at the end. I'm using Google Chrome if that makes a difference, but whatever. I'm sure it's an easy fix.

I'm sure the original writer will do a better job once he gets oldered. [sic]

Galneda responds:

AWW FFFUUUUUUUUU- Thanks buddy. They worked in flash when I previewed them, opened a new tab and everything, but to test what you're saying, it ain't working on my firefox either! I'm going to hit up the flash forums to see if they can help my noob-ass. Thanks so much for pointing that out!

And actually, lol, I just got done reading some of his latest work. Ya gotta admire his determination...

Thanks!

Superb homage to the weirdness that is Earthbound. The animation, pacing, and little touches that only a fan of the game would know really make this stand out.

I have 0 complaints about this flash. If I were to buy from you on eBay I'd say A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ WOULD BUY AGAIN GREAT SELLER A++++

Not bad

I won't criticize your artwork for this whipped up project, but you really should have optimized the audio to at least 30kbs to make the sound come through.

Despite the tiny file size, the sound you get from this compression is way too hard to listen to. Change that and you're a go ;)

Hillarious

Very satisfying. I love the use of the jump cut, personally it drove me nuts watching people gain "fame" by removing frames from a video clip.

Lots of anger there. I love it.

I'm learning to tap into my own bizarre mind. Hopefully the world one day will realize how strange it really is.
